Rebels Represented in Five Summer Leagues, on USA Baseball Collegiate National Team

Over the summer, the Ole Miss baseball team has nine Rebels in five different summer college baseball leagues across the country, as well as one representative on the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. Below is a look at how the #RebsofSummer are doing as they prepare for the 2020 Ole Miss Baseball season.

USA BASEBALL
Doug Nikhazy | LHP | Collegiate National Team

0-0, 5.14 ERA, 4 APP, 1 GS, 7.0 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 6 K, 5 BB, .217 BAA
 
After receiving an invite to USA Baseball Collegiate National Team training camp, Doug Nikhazy worked his way onto the 24-man roster, spending the entire summer with Team USA. The Freshman All-American made his first start in the final game of the summer for the Collegiate National Team, throwing three innings with just one run allowed on three hits. Unfortunately, the Stars and Stripes ultimately fell, 6-1 to drop the series against Japan. Nikhazy closed his summer with four runs allowed over four appearances in the Red, White and Blue.
 
CAPE COD LEAGUE
Tyler Keenan | 3B | Harwich Mariners

10 G, 30 AB, .300/.432/.467, 6 R, 9 H, 2 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 6 BB, 9 K
 
Tyler Keenan represented Ole Miss on two of college baseball's biggest stages this summer, taking part in the College Home Run Derby and competing in the Cape Cod League. Keenan was phenomenal in the Home Run Derby, finishing second, the best finish ever by a Rebel. He also put together a solid stint with the Harwich Mariners, hitting .300 over 10 games with a pair of doubles and one home run.
 
Anthony Servideo | IF/OF | Hyannis Harbor Hawks
30 G, 95 AB, .147/.283/.221, 12 R, 14 H, 4 2B, 4 RBI, 14 BB, 36 K
 
One of two Rebels competing in the Cape Cod League this summer, Anthony Servideo has filled a number of positions for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. The rising junior has been up and down at the plate, notching one home run and four doubles despite hitting just .147 thus far.
 
FLORIDA COLLEGIATE SUMMER LEAGUE
Gunnar Hoglund | 1B/RHP | Seminole County Scorpions

25 G, 89 AB, .258/.365/.404, 9 R, 23 H, 7 2B, 2 HR, 12 RBI, 14 BB, 26 K
 
After a strong freshman campaign on the mound for Ole Miss, Gunnar Hoglund has spent his summer getting work in at the plate in the Florida Collegiate Summer League. Hoglund has hit .258 with seven doubles and two home runs thus far for the Seminole County Scorpions. Hoglund boasts five multi-hit games, including two in the last four games.
 
CALIFORNIA LEAGUE
Kevin Graham | IF | Conejo Oaks

15 AB, .067/.176/.133, 1 R, 1 H, 2B, 2 BB, 4 K
 
Kevin Graham had a short stint with the Conejo Oaks before returning to Oxford for the remainder of the summer. The Freshman All-American had one hit (a double), a run scored and a pair of walks in 17 plate appearances in the California League.
 
NORTHWOODS LEAGUE
Max Cioffi | RHP | Fond du Lac Dock Spiders

2-3, 3.76 ERA, 12 APP, 14.1 IP, 7 R, 6 ER, 6 BB, 19 K, .189 BAA
 
Max Cioffi has been a force on the mound for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders this summer. The rising junior has made 12 appearances with a 3.76 ERA, allowing six earned runs over 14.1 innings of work. The Chicago native has racked up four saves along the way, keeping opposing hitters under a .200 average and striking out 19.
 
Tim Elko | IF/OF | Fond du Lac Dock Spiders
38 G, 141 AB, .291/.357/.440, 21 R, 41 H, 9 2B, 4 HR, 21 RBI, 12 BB, 33 K
 
Tim Elko has put together an outstanding summer for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, hitting just shy of .300 at .291 through 38 games. The rising junior has flashed some power tying for a team-lead with four home runs thus far in addition to nine doubles. Elko is one of four players on his team with 20-plus RBI to this point in the summer. The highlight of Elko's summer thus far came on July 10, when he went 2-for-5 with two home runs, including a grand slam in an 18-4 Dock Spiders win.
 
PERFECT GAME COLLEGIATE BASEBALL LEAGUE
Josh Hall | OF | Albany Dutchmen

26 G, 77 AB, .351/.407/.455, 13 R, 27 H, 5 2B, 1 HR, 20 RBI, 6 BB, 12 K, 19 SB
 
Josh Hall has been having a tremendous summer for the Albany Dutchmen. The speedster sits atop the Dutchmen stat charts with a team-best .351 batting average, going on a tear of late in Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League play. The rising sophomore is 7-for-12 in his last four games with four stolen bases and five RBI. He's also tied for sixth in the league with 19 stolen bases.
 
Justin Bench | IF | Albany Dutchmen
25 G, 77 AB, .312/.465/.506, 27 R, 24 H, 3 2B, 4 HR, 15 RBI, 17 BB, 11 K
 
Justin Bench has put together a fantastic summer, earning a starting role in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League All-Star game. The rising sophomore is second among his Albany Dutchmen teammates with four home runs, adding three doubles while hitting .312. Bench has been productive on the basepaths, stealing 20 bases and scoring 27 runs.
 
Logan Savell | RHP | Albany Dutchmen
2-2, 4.69 ERA, 7 APP, 6 GS, 13 R, 12 ER, 10 BB, 20 K, .250 BAA
 
Logan Savell has made six starts and seven total appearances for the Albany Dutchmen so far this summer. He has worked 23.0 innings with a 4.69 ERA, allowing 12 earned runs on 22 hits with 10 walks and 20 strikeouts.
