Rebels to Make a Return Trip to Mexico Feb. 13-16
OXFORD, Miss. – The early weeks of Ole Miss' 2020 softball schedule is beginning to come together, with the Rebels being announced as one of six participants in the second session of the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge, set for Feb. 13-16 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Ole Miss' opponents and schedule for the challenge have not yet been announced. However, the Rebs will be joined for the second session by Cal Baptist, Colorado State, Tennessee, Texas and Utah. The field of six will include four NCAA Tournament teams, including three teams that advanced to Super Regionals.
It will be the second appearance in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge for Ole Miss after heading south of the border in 2018. That season, Ole Miss went 3-1 in Puerto Vallarta, defeating Texas, Rutgers and then-No. 3 Oregon to claim the championship.
The Puerto Vallarta College Challenge is the only NCAA Division I softball event held outside of the United States. All games during the challenge are played at Nancy Almaraz Stadium.
