Men’s Tennis Welcome Swedish Standout Nikola Slavic

The Rebels welcome Stockholm, Sweden product Nikola Slavic
OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Men's Tennis has added to its 2020 spring roster, welcoming the addition of Swedish National Champion Nikola Slavic, announced by head coach Toby Hansson Wednesday afternoon.
Slavic, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, has begun to make a name for himself over the last few years by reaching the singles finals at both the Under 21 National Championships as well as the Under 18 National Championships. He has also proven to be successful in doubles, claiming the title at the Under 21 Nationals.
Slavic is the second-highest ranked junior player in Sweden and joined the ATP World Tour rankings in August, coming in at No. 1698 in singles and No. 1899 in doubles.
"Nikola is a very personable and positive young man and we welcome him with open arms to the Ole Miss family," Hansson said. "He is a very solid all-court player with a very good serve and forehand that he can put a lot of pressure on his opponents with. On top of that, he is a strong competitor and fights from the first point to the last. He is also a very strong student and we are looking forward to supporting him and watch him continue to reach his full potential both on the court and in the classroom here at Ole Miss."
Slavic joins German National Champion Lukas Engelhardt to round out the Rebels' 2023 recruiting class.
