ATHENS, Ga. --   Ole Miss Men's Tennis dropped its first conference match of the season Friday afternoon, falling 4-1 to No. 10 Georgia at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

The Rebels slip to 10-3, 1-1 on the season, while Georgia improves to 8-2 and 2-0 in SEC action.

Things looked promising in doubles, as the pairs on Courts 1 and 3 entered into tiebreakers to keep the threat for the doubles point alive. The 17th-ranked pair of senior Tim Sandkaulen and junior Finn Reynolds emerged victorious, downing the No. 15 duo of Trent Bryde and Tyler Zink 7-3.

The Bulldogs picked up the point after the sophomore pairing of Jan Soren Hain and Simon Junk went through extra points in their break, falling 11-9.

Reynolds got the Rebs on the board after winning via retirement on Court 3 over UGA's No. 80 Tyler Zink, marking Reynolds second win over a ranked opponent.

Hain took things to the wire against the 11th-ranked player in the country, Phillip Henning, forcing an extra game in the opening set, but the match was left unfinished in the second set.

Junk was looking to force a third set, up 5-3 in the second when the match was also bandoned due to clinch.
