OXFORD, Miss. – Adding a non-conference tilt to its schedule, Ole Miss men's tennis will face Memphis on Monday, Feb. 1, at 5 p.m. CT in the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center.

The No. 17 Rebels (1-2, 0-0 SEC) will look for their first home win of the season against Memphis (1-0, 0-0 AAC).

The Rebels return to Oxford after splitting two matches at ITA Kickoff Weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina. Ole Miss squared off against two SEC opponents, defeating Alabama 4-1 and losing to No. 13 Tennessee 4-2.

Senior Finn Reynolds had an undefeated weekend for the Rebels winning four matches overall. Playing No. 2 singles, Reynolds defeated Tennessee's Johannus Monday in three sets and Alabama's Zhe Zhou in straight sets. In doubles, Reynolds and Tim Sandkaulen won over Tennessee's Pat Harper and Adam Walton 7-6 (4) and beat Alabama's Edson Ortiz and Marcelo Sepulveda Garza 6-2. Reynolds and Sandkaulen are the No. 7 nationally ranked doubles team.

Junior Simon Junk made the most of his opportunity to start at doubles. Junk and Brady Draheim dramatically triumphed in both matches last weekend. Playing No. 3 doubles, the Rebels duo defeated Tennessee in a tiebreak and won 7-5 over Alabama to clinch the doubles point for Ole Miss. Junk has opened the season 2-1 in singles after splitting his matches at ITA Kickoff Weekend.

Memphis swept Bellarmine 7-0 in their only match this season. The Tigers did not compete in the fall season. Coach Paul Goebel led Memphis to a 5-9 (1-1 AAC) record last year. The 2019-20 season was highlighted by the Tigers defeating No. 46 LSU 4-1. Memphis returns their top five singles players from last season, as well as returning all three doubles teams.

Ole Miss last faced Memphis in 2016. The Rebels lost to the Tigers 4-1.
