Men’s Tennis to Conclude Fall Season at GT Invite

Rebels to Compete in Georgia Tech’s Fall Tournament in Atlanta
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss men's tennis will compete in three days of matches at the GT Invite to wrap-up the fall season, starting Friday and ending on Sunday.
The event will be held at Georgia Tech's Ken Byers Tennis Complex in Atlanta. Competition will take place either outdoors or indoors depending on the weather and air temperature at the start of the event (outdoors if above 50 degrees).
Opposing teams competing in the event are: Auburn, Georgia Tech, Georgia State and Mississippi State. Ole Miss has faced Auburn and Mississippi State opponents previously this season at the ITA Southern Championships (Oct. 14-19). The Rebels also faced Georgia Tech opponents at the Bulldog Invitational (Oct. 8-10) in Athens, GA.
Ole Miss enters the GT Invite with a combined record of 35-20 in singles and 11-5 in doubles. Jakob Cadonau, Lukas Engelhardt, Simon Junk, Finn Reynolds and Nikola Slavic have all earned at least five singles victories this fall. Junk and Slavic lead the team with six singles wins this season. The Rebels have a 5-5 record versus ranked opponents in singles this fall and a 1-2 record versus ranked doubles teams.
The Rebels will be without Reynolds and Slavic for the event. Reynolds and Slavic are currently competing in the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego.
A tournament hub for the event will be available at the Georgia Tech website (www.ramblinwreck.com) prior to the start of the invite on Friday.

Saturday (11/6) – 1 doubles round, 2 singles rounds
