Mark Bostick Golf Course, the home course for the University of Florida, has anchored the northwest corner of the UF's Gainesville campus for the last 80 years. Although the course was originally designed by renowned architect Donald Ross during the 1920s, it has evolved over the years to take on its own distinct personality. Contained within a 116-acre plot of land, the 6,701-yard, par-70 course is short by today's golf standards. However, a $4 million renovation project in 2001 by Jacksonville-based architect Bobby Weed transformed the contour of the landscape, creating a course that is both physically and mentally challenging.
Seniors Julia Johnson and Kennedy Swann have been a lethal one-two punch for the Rebels for the last two-and-a-half seasons. The dynamic duo leads the Rebels in stroke average this season (Swann: 71.9, Johnson: 72.0) and have combined to participate in 72 tournaments over their collegiate career. Both Johnson and Swann recently earned invitations to participate in the 2021 Augusta National Women's Amateur later in the spring.
After their runner-up finish at the Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate to start the spring season, the Rebels remain ranked No. 3 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings and No. 4 in the Golfstat Team Rankings. It's the first time in program history that the Rebels have been ranked inside the top 5 by both organizations.
