No. 18 Rebels, Cardinals Slated for 7 p.m. CT Kick, Monday, Sept. 6 on ESPN

OXFORD, Miss. – The stage is set for the start of the 2021 Ole Miss football season. ESPN announced Tuesday the network designations and kickoff times for four key opening-weekend matchups, tabbing the 2021 Chick-fil-A Kickoff game between the No. 18 Rebels and Louisville for a 7 p.m. CT start Monday night on ESPN.

The Labor Day matchup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, will be the first-ever meeting between the programs.

The Rebels will make their second appearance in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff after knocking off Boise State 35-21 to open the 2014 season. The Cardinals are also making their second trip to Atlanta after falling to Auburn 31-24 in 2015.

No. 2 Alabama and No. 25 Miami will meet for part one of the 2021 Chick-fil-A Kickoff on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 2:30 p.m. CT.

The 2021 matchups will mark the 12th and 13th ACC vs. SEC meetings in the event's history, with the SEC currently holding a 10-1 advantage over the ACC in those games.

Ole Miss is now locked in for two ESPN broadcasts in 2021 after the recent announcement of the Egg Bowl's return to Thanksgiving Day.
