THE COURSE
The Golf Club of Houston has fairway corridors initially carved by George Fazio in the 1960s that form the foundation of this piece of Texas Gulf Coast bayou land that has - and continues to - evolve with the game. The Golf Club of Houston is also the longest-running home of the Houston Open. For 17 years, the greatest players in the world competed at the course, seeking life-changing prestige and rewards claiming victory on the PGA TOUR.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH MALLOY
"We are looking forward to getting back into action this week. We didn't have our best stuff last week and I know that these guys are excited to bounce back. This is a very demanding golf course that has hosted a PGA Tour event for many years. It will challenge these guys with every facet of their games."

HUGO ON HOT STREAK
Hugo Townsend was recognized as the Co-SEC Men's Golfer of the Week following the graduate transfer's 4th place finish at the Seminole Intercollegiate where he earned a season-best finish in the top-5 with an overall score of 213 (-3). Townsend led the field in par-3 scoring (-3) and was third in the field in birdies (13). This is the grad transfer's first top-5 finish for Ole Miss.

Townsend was one of five players in the 81-player field to achieve an overall score underneath par against the high, windy conditions in Tallahassee. Townsend led for Ole Miss in all three rounds on the Seminole Legacy Golf Course to contribute to Ole Miss' 3rd place finish.

During the first round of competition, the Boden, Sweden native went low with a 4-under round score. Townsend went bogey-free for 17 holes while knocking in seven birdies to begin the competition on a high note and kept his stride to achieve his 4th place finish.

REBS LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK FROM TIME IN TALLAHASSEE
Ole Miss wrapped its third tournament of the spring season at the Seminole Intercollegiate in third place with an overall score of 891 (+27). Overall, Ole Miss went par for 168 holes and chipped in 36 birdies throughout its two days in Tallahassee.

"This was certainly not our best week," head coach Chris Malloy said. "We did a very poor job of handling a tough golf course and tough conditions. If we are going to be an elite program, we need to develop more consistency with our approach to each and every tournament we play. The good news is that we have a quick turnaround and get this bad taste out of our mouths."

EASLEY EARNED.
C.J. Easley, competing individually for Ole Miss, earned a top-15 finish under his belt in his Rebel debut at the Seminole Intercollegiate. The Oxford, Mississippi native went par in 39 holes throughout his three rounds in Tallahassee to finish with a 6-over overall score in 13th place. Easley sat in the top 20 for the majority of the tournament with his best round being in the second round where he captured a 71 (-1) round score.

NEXT ON THE TEE
Following play in Houston, the Rebels will have a week-long break before getting ready for the Mossy Oak Collegiate (Apr. 3-4) in West Point, Mississippi. The event will be a two-day tournament played at the Mossy Oak Golf Course hosted by in-state foes Mississippi State.
