Women’s Cross Country No. 22 in Week Two USTFCCCA Poll

NEW ORLEANS – Ole Miss women's cross country moved up to No. 22 in the Week Two USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll released on Tuesday.
This is the 49th overall appearance for the Rebel women in the national polls, who are coming off a third-place team finish at Missouri's Gans Creek Classic last Friday. Ole Miss took down No. 6 Florida and No. 13 Lipscomb in the team standings and only finished behind two top-10 teams in No. 8 Stanford and No. 9 Tennessee.
Leading that charge was Ole Miss senior Loral Winn, who finished fourth overall at her fifth career 6K time below the 20-minute barrier at 19:56.8 – the most of any Rebel woman in recorded history. Winn was one of five Ole Miss scorers within the top-50 alongside Sophie Baumann (18th, 20:27.3), Sarah Schiffmann (26th, 20:35.6), Beth Arentz (32nd, 20:45.0) and Hannah Ielfield (43rd, 20:57.9).
Ole Miss is off for the next couple weeks as it prepares for the Pre-National Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin on Sat., Oct. 19.
