Women’s Tennis Duo to Represent Ole Miss at June Stewart Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn.– Ole Miss women's tennis team sends two to Nashville, Tenn., to compete at the June Stewart Invitational from Oct. 25 through Oct. 27.
Hosted at the Lummis Family Tennis Center, the event will feature a round-robin play in singles and doubles over three days. Doubles will be one set to six, while singles will be two out of three complete sets.
Rebel Andrea Nova found success in last seasons' invitational, finishing her first collegiate tournament with three singles wins and a doubles victory. The sophomore is looking to continue the tradition by notching her first singles win for her 2024 singles campaign.
Brooklyn Olson is coming off a sweet sixteen appearance at the ITA Southern Regionals in doubles alongside Lucie Petruzelova. The freshman was ranked as high as No. 704 in the ITF singles ranking and the No. 26 recruit in the nation with a World Tennis Number of 16.6 in both singles and doubles.

- Enters the year ranked 84th in doubles with Ludmila Kareisová
- Has tallied double-digit wins in doubles all three years of her career
Andrea Nova (So.) – Prague, Czechia
- Came to Ole Miss ranked as high as No. 298 in the ITF Junior Rankings
- Recorded 13 wins in the 2023-24 campaign
Brooklyn Olson (Fr.) – Kansas City, Kansas

Ole Miss has five returning players from last year's team. Kette looks to build off her sophomore year in her second fall as a Rebel. The three-headed monster in seniors Kareisová, Krzyzak and Leclercq-Ficher will significantly impact this season. In 2024, Kyzyzak led the team in singles wins (18).
TRANSFER TO THE SIP
The Rebels added Petruzelova from Charlotte through the transfer portal. Petruzelova spent three seasons at Charlotte and earned a combined 66-25 singles record and 58-42 doubles record. The senior is five wins shy of a career record of 75 singles wins after an outstanding run at the ITA Regionals. Petruzelova advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating three opponents in straight sets, including Auburn's Alice Battesi 6-4, 6-1.
FRESHMAN PHENOM
A Blue Chip five star recruit out of Kansas City, Kan., Olson started her collegiate career as a Rebel this season. She was ranked as high as No. 704 in ITF singles, and the No. 26 recruit in the nation. She made her debut in doubles at the ITA Southern Regionals with Petruzelova, and advanced to the top 16.
FALL SLATE
The Rebels have a jam-packed fall schedule, including nine tournaments. After traveling to Nashville, the team heads to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to participate in the Roberta Alison Invitational from Nov. 1-2. Ole Miss will compete at its second ITF tournament from Nov. 4-10 in Jackson, Tenn., before rounding out the fall at the ITA Masters (Nov. 7-10) in San Diego, Calif., or the ITA Sectionals (Nov. 7-10) with location being assigned at a later date.
