LAST TIME OUT
The Ole Miss women's golf team came away with a tournament sweep in the team's second fixture of the season, as the Rebels dominated their way to earning the 2024 Mary Fossum Invitational team and individual titles. Ending with a three-round team score of 847 (-17), the Rebels secured the tournament record at the Forest Akers West Golf Course, sitting an impressive 15 strokes ahead of the hosts in Michigan State who finished in second. The Rebels held all the control over the two days, leading the field in par-4 scoring (E), par-5 scoring (-8), birdies (55) and sitting in second for par-3 scoring (+1). Additionally, every Rebel who competed broke at least one of their career-records this weekend.

Ole Miss was led by Caitlyn Macnab who earned her fourth career medalist finish and first of the season, finishing with the tournament record total score of 204 (-12). The double hardware finish for the Rebels marks the team's first tournament sweep at an event since 2022 when Ole Miss and Andrea Lignell secured The Ally medalist finishes. This marks just the 11th time in program history that the Rebels have accomplished this feat.

MACNAB MAKIN' MOVES
After a record-breaking weekend at the Mary Fossum Invitational, Ole Miss women's golf senior Caitlyn Macnab was named the SEC Women's Co-Golfer of the Week. This marks Macnab's second SEC recognition and third overall conference honor as she was named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month at TCU. The award comes following her dominant performance at the team's second event of the season, where Macnab blazed the course en route to earning her fourth career collegiate medalist finish and the tournament record three-round score of 204 (-12).

Macnab opened up the event etching her name into the record books after shooting a flawless first round that included seven birdies and one eagle. The Johannesburg, South Africa, native's career-best 18-hole score of 63 (-9) was a course-low, tournament-low and the second lowest round in program history.  The following two rounds, Macnab shot scores of 73 (+1) and 68 (-4) to go wire to wire over the two days. The senior proved she is a force to be reckoned with after ranking first in par-3 scoring (-4), par-5 scoring (-5), and birdies (15) across the field.

REBELS IN THE RANKINGS
Ole Miss enters their week in Medinah ranked as the No. 19 team in the country according to the WGCA Coaches Poll. The Rebels also check in at No. 18 in the Golfweek Preseason Rankings and No. 24 in the Golf Channel Preseason Rankings. Caitlyn Macnab earned preseason All-America honors for the second consecutive year as she was recognized on the third-team by Golfweek and Golf Channel.

THE FINAL FALL PUSH
Following the team's trip to Illinois, the Rebels will have one last tournament to wrap up their fall season, competing in the Landfall Tradition. The fall finale is set to run Oct. 25-27 in Wilmington, North Carolina at the Country Club of Landfall. Ole Miss will then move into their winter break before returning for their spring season-opener at the Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, taking place Feb. 2-4 at the Grand Reserve Golf Club.
