2023 Florida Gators Recap
Florida finished 5-7 last year, its third straight season with a losing record, and the Gators missed out on a bowl berth for just the second time in the past 10 seasons. They fought their way to a 5-2 start, highlighted by a win over No. 11 Tennessee, and with just two road defeats to No. 14 Utah and Kentucky. Then Florida ran into No. 1 Georgia, and that defeat sparked a five-game skid to end the year, including three single-digit defeats, finishing 3-5 in SEC play.
2024 Florida Snapshot
Florida has played through a tough schedule to a 5-5 record overall and a 3-4 mark in SEC play. The Gators' five losses have all come to teams currently ranked: No. 11 Miami, No. 15 Texas A&M, No. 3 Texas, No. 8 Georgia and No. 10 Tennessee. Florida has wins over Kentucky, Mississippi State, UCF and Samford, as well as last weekend's win over then-No. 21 LSU. Saturday's contest will be senior day and the home finale for Florida.

Three Players to Watch: Ole Miss
- Princely Umanmielen – The former Florida Gator has been tearing it up this season for Ole Miss, including a streak of back-to-back-to-back multi-sack games as he returns to Gainesville.
- Tre Harris – Tre Harris has missed roughly four total games of action this season, but he still ranks No. 4 nationally and leads the SEC in receiving. He's expected to return this weekend.
- Jaxson Dart – On the fringe of the Heisman Trophy conversation, look for Jaxson Dart have a big weekend against a Florida pass defense that ranks No. 92 nationally and No. 14 in the SEC, allowing 236.9 yards per game.
- DJ Lagway – The 5-star freshman was 13-for-26 for 226 yards with one touchdown and no INTs as he led Florida to victory over LSU. How will he do against Ole Miss' elite pass rush?
- Elijhah Badger – The Florida receiver torched LSU for 131 yards and a score on six catches last weekend, and he's averaging 76.8 yards per game, good for No. 2 in the SEC and No. 31 nationally. His matchup with Trey Amos will be key.
- Tyreak Sapp – Tyreak Sapp has led Florida with 9.0 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks this season. Generating pressure has been critical to stopping Jaxson Dart in the Ole Miss offense, and Sapp will lead that charge.
