Women's Tennis Grabs Saturday Win Over Bruins

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women's tennis clenched the win against Belmont 5-2. Ava Hrastar and Emma Kette grabbed their first dual singles wins of the season.
Ole Miss (2-1) dropped the first doubles match. The Rebels bounced back on courts two and three for the point. The Rebels started gaining momentum once Anaelle Leclercq-Ficher and Ludmila Kareisova won on Court Two, 6-3. Reka Zadori and Rachel Krzyzak had something to prove, coming back in the set winning 7-5.
Ava Hrastar dominated court two with her first dual singles win as a Rebel, winning 6-1, 6-1. Emma Kette also grabs her first dual match win, 6-1, 6-1 to begin her sophomore campaign.
With a perfect dual singles record on the year, Briana Crowley adds one more with a 6-3, 6-3 score. Rachel Krzyzak continues to have a strong junior season, winning at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-0. Kryzak eclipsed a 10-5 record on the season so far.
The Rebels will hit the road for two matches next weekend, against Purdue and Illinois on Feb. 9 and Feb 11. Ole Miss will face Purdue at 1pm on Friday, and Illinois at 11am on Sunday.
