Opening the Year with a Pair of Sweeps
Ole Miss was able to open their season with a bang last Sunday as the team hosted North Alabama and Jackson State for a season-opening doubleheader. Behind strong play from veterans such as Nikola Slavic and Lukas Engelhardt, the Rebels were able to sweep their way to a 7-0 win over the Lions and a 4-0 victory over the Tigers. The Rebels were also able to tally wins in five of the team's doubles matches on the day as well as going 9-0 in singles play.

Doubles Dominance
The Rebels continue to showcase an impressive start in each of their matches, earning the doubles point in all of Ole Miss' first six matches of the spring season. The doubles success is led by the tandem of John Hallquist Lithen and Carson Baker who have gone undefeated in every matchup, currently holding a 6-0 record as a pair. The senior squad of Slavic and Engelhardt also remain unbeaten, going a perfect 4-0 in the No. 1 slot.

Slavic's 80th Singles Win
The senior continues to make history in his fifth year as a Rebel, racking up his 80th career singles win against Northwestern at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. Slavic currently ranks 14th in program history for most singles wins and will soon pass Ole Miss assistant coach Kalle Norberg who garners 81 total wins. The Stockholm, Sweden, native will look to earn his 11th singles victory of the season this weekend against the Tigers and move his way up the rankings.

Team Profile: Memphis
The Memphis men's tennis team will prove to be the first big test for the Rebels at home, as the Tigers will carry momentum from multiple significant wins including a 4-2 victory over No. 11 Harvard. Leading the way for Memphis on the singles courts is Pau Fanlo who is currently ranked No. 123 in the latest ITA rankings and holds a 13-9 overall record this season. The Tigers roster is bolstered by two other ranked doubles players, with Pablo Alemany and Charlie Barry currently ranked No. 38 and holding an 11-4 overall season record together.
