Women’s Golf Tied for Ninth After Two Rounds at Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, S.C. – The Ole Miss women's golf team shot a 5-over 293, Saturday at the Clemson Invitational to move up one spot on the team leaderboard.
The Rebels are tied for ninth after two rounds in Sunset, South Carolina, sitting at 9-over (585) for the tournament.
Natacha Host Husted continues to lead the Rebels as she tallied her second straight round under par. Host Husted fired a 1-under 71 on Saturday and is tied for 11th individually at 141 (-3) through two rounds. The junior from Copenhagen, Denmark, ranks top 10 in the field in both par-5 scoring (-5) and pars (26).
Caitlyn Macnab shot a second round even par to move to 2-over for the tournament and is tied for 37th place. Macnab got off to a quick start Saturday, making a birdie on two of her first six holes. The Johannesburg, South Africa, native is looking to continue her streak of not finishing outside the top 20 in any tournament so far this season.
Sophomore Nicole Gal rebounded from a rough opening day round to shot even par on Saturday. Gal, who is 6-over on the tournament, is tied for 63rd place overall. The Oakville, Ontario, native was 1-over through 11 holes and then reeled off three straight birdies to highlight her second round.
Sophie Linder and Andrea Lignell rounded out play for the Rebels on Saturday, with Linder shooting a 78 and Lignell tallying a 79. Lignell is tied for 63rd place, while Linder is tied for 77th.
Competing individually for the Rebels, Justine Fournand is tied for 27th after another round of even par. The senior is at 144 (E) for the tourney and has tallied seven birdies through the first two rounds.
