CARLSBAD, Calif. – Following strong 2023-24 campaigns, two sophomores for Ole Miss men's golf in Michael La Sasso and Cameron Tankersley have found themselves earning NCAA Division I PING All-Region Team – Southeast as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Both La Sasso and Tankersley assisted Ole Miss in a 2023-24 season in which the Rebels earned a No. 2 seed for the NCAA Stanford Regional, the highest given seed in program history.  As a team, Ole Miss finished in the top-five in all but three tournaments.

In his first season at Ole Miss, La Sasso made an immediate impact by leading the team in stroke average at 69.76 and became the 16th Rebel to earn First Team All-SEC recognition. The sophomore finished inside the top-20 in all regular events of the season, including four of those being in the top three.

Along with All-Region honors, La Sasso was named to this year's spring watch list for the Ben Hogan and the Fred Haskins Award. This summer, La Sasso will compete for Team USA at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup.

Competing in all 10 tournaments in the lineup, Tankersley followed La Sasso with a 70.27 stroke average to rank second on the team. The sophomore tallied seven top-20 finishes, including a career best third-place finish most recently at this year's Mason Rudolph Championship.

At the NCAA Stanford Regional, Tankersley paced the Rebels to finish tied for eighth, as well as firing off a career low 54 hole score, 204 (-6).
