Jaxson Dart Turns Heads at Manning Passing Academy

Dart was one of several start college QBs in attendance as counselors for the younger players participating in the camp. Dart also recently crossed paths with Eli at a Grove Collective event, and the former Rebel QB has been impressed with the current one.
"I've been to games, and I'd seen him briefly, but it was the first time really getting to sit down with him, hang out with him, go on stage, and tell some stories. I enjoyed his personality," Eli Manning said of Dart. "I was able to take some lighthearted digs at him, and he reciprocated and did the same with me, which is fun, that's what it's all about, it kind of makes it special for the group. I got to hang with him last night and eat dinner with him, he seems like a great kid and has a good head on his shoulders. I'm excited about his future."

Ole Miss fans—including one of its greatest athletes ever in Archie Manning—are plenty excited about Dart's future, particularly his immediate future as he enters the 2024 season as a Heisman Trophy candidate, leading a potential preseason top-10 team into a new era of SEC football.
"I love reading everything about the anticipation of the season at Ole Miss," Archie Manning told the Clarion Ledger. "Lane (Kiffin)'s the king of the portal. I hope all those players kind of get to know each other and come together. But people are picking them. I know it's a talented team. I know it's a tough league, but it's great anticipation. It's wonderful for Ole Miss for people to be excited about the season."
One of Dart's top SEC rivals, Georgia's Carson Beck, also had some kind words about his fellow Heisman contender.
"He's a really cool guy. I'm a big fan of his game…Obviously, that will be a big game for us so I'm excited for that one," Beck told The Ole Miss Spirit. "He's very talented, big arm, very accurate. Mobile, the ability to get out of the pocket. He does a lot of things well."
