Men’s Tennis Opens SEC Play on the Road Against Arkansas and No. 4 Texas

OXFORD, Miss - The No. 51 Ole Miss men's tennis program (8-1, 0-0 SEC) will hit the road to Fayetteville, Ark. to open SEC play against No. 37 Arkansas Razorbacks (10-3, 0-0 SEC) at the Billingsley Tennis Center on Saturday, Feb 22. at 12:00 p.m. CT.
After their time in Arkansas, the Rebels will head down south to Austin, Texas to square off against No. 4 Texas Longhorns (9-2, 0-0 SEC) at the Texas Tennis Center on Monday, Feb. 24 at 1:00 p.m. CT.
Live scoring and live streaming will be available for both matchups. The links will be provided on the men's tennis schedule page and social media platforms on both Saturday and Monday.
THE REBELS
Matthieu Chambonniere (Fr.) - Paris, Île-de-France
-Remains undefeated in dual matches on the singles court at 7-0
-Leads the Rebels in doubles wins 12-3 overall
-Named the Houndstooth Draw doubles champions at the SEC Challenge with doubles partner Benjamin Martin in the fall
-Defeated Nebraska's Leo Linquet in a gritty, 7-6 (9-7), 3-6, 6-3 matchup
Marcel Kamrowski (Jr.) - Gdańsk, Poland
-Junior transfer from Middle Tennessee State

-Earned an impressive 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, 10-8 win over Nebraska's Roni Hietaranta

Kai Milburn (Fr.) - Queenstown, New Zealand
-Boasts a 4-0 record on the singles court
-Defeated Asaf Friedler and Vincent Vohl 6-4 with partner Marcel Kamrowski to earn his first doubles win as a Rebel
-Has earned three tournament ITF titles in singles, earning victories in the J60 Christchurch, J60 Wellington and J100 Auckland
-Represented New Zealand during last year's Davis Cup
Noah Schlagenhauf (Jr.) - Nuertingen, Germany
-Holds a 14-7 record on the singles court in his junior season campaign
-Has tallied six doubles wins in the 2025 season

Isac Strömberg (Jr.) - Stockholm, Sweden
-Defeated Adrian Contreras (EKU), 6-3, 6-1, to open the 2025 spring season
-Bested Alabama's No. 62 Andrii Zimnokh, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the fall season to earn his first ranked win of the 2024-25 season
-Undefeated on court two in dual singles matches, holding a 3-0 record
-Holds a 5-1 singles record in the spring campaign
Gordon Whitwell (Jr.) - Oxford, Mississippi
-Defeated Ryan Kitchin and Adrian Contreras (EKU) 6-2 with partner Isac Stromberg to open junior year spring season
-Secured his first singles win of the spring season over Eastern Kentucky's Darko Kolevski, 6-1, 6-4
-Has secured three wins on the doubles courts with partner Isac Stromberg
-Advanced to the doubles round of 16 at the ITA Southern Regional in the fall season
LEADING THE PACK
Matthieu Chambonniere has made some noise in his rookie campaign with Ole Miss. The freshman holds Rebel bests records in singles and doubles. The Paris, Île-de-France, native boasts a 14-3 record on the singles court and a 12-3 record on the doubles court.
Veteran Rebel, Noah Schlagenhauf has also made headways early on in the 2025 season. The Nuertingen, Germany, native has an impressive 14-7 singles record, including two ranked wins, the highest being over Georgia Southern's No. 84 Dimitris Paliouras.
TEAM PROFILE: ARKANSAS
Jay Udwadia is in his third year at the helm of the Razorback men's tennis program. In just his second season at the reins, Udwadia led the Razorbacks to a historical 2023-24 season, including a nine-win improvement from the 2022-23 season, the program's first NCAA Tournament berth since 2021, and the most wins in a season since 1986 (21). The Razorbacks are led by freshman No. 102 Jakub Vrba who boasts a 13-1 overall singles record, and 7-0 singles record in dual matches. Vrba teams up with Connor Smillie on the doubles court. The Razorback duo has tallied seven wins in doubles in the 2025 season thus far.
TEAM PROFILE: TEXAS
Bruce Berque was elevated from associate head coach to interim head coach on March 13, 2019. After leading the program to its first National Championship, he was officially named the fifth head coach of The University of Texas Men's Tennis program in May of 2019. The Longhorns are led by No. 7 Timo Legout and boasts an impressive singles record of 19-2. Joining Legout in the rankings are teammates No. 15 Sebastian Gorzny and No. 33 Jonah Braswell. Legout pairs with Lucas Brown to make the No. 11 doubles duo. The pair holds an impressive 11-6 overall record on the doubles court.
