No. 3 Men’s Golf Completes Day One at Pauma Valley Invitational

PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. – Through nearly two complete rounds in Pauma Valley, No. 3 Ole Miss men's golf finds themselves in the middle of the pack at the Pauma Valley Invitational. Round two play was suspended due to darkness.
It was a solid start for the trio of Tom Fischer, Kye Meeks and Cameron Tankersley, as each posted red figures on their front nine in round one. Fischer would proceed to birdie three of his first four holes on the back nine before dropping a shot on the par 4 15th. He carded a first-round score of (-3, 68) placing him tied for fourth after 18 holes.
Tankersley would rest at even par as he stepped to the 18th hole. After finding the short grass with his tee shot, he would dunk a wedge from 115 yards out for eagle to cap off his first round. He would card a (-2, 69) placing himself in the thick of the pack after round one.
Kye Meeks put together a solid opening round of (-1, 70). Meeks went bogey-free, carding his lone birdie on the par 4 4th.
Round two will resume at 7:30 a.m. PT tomorrow morning, followed by round three with a repairing shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. PT.
