3/4/2025 | Softball
OXFORD, Miss. – After prolific starts in their first season in Oxford, the Ole Miss softball duo of Aliyah Binford and Miali Guachino have been tabbed to Softball America's March Position Power Rankings.
Binford was named the No. 5 two-way player in the nation, while Guachino was selected as the No. 13 pitcher in the nation.
A native of New Braunfels, Texas, Binford has shined at the plate and in the circle, hitting .364 with 11 extra-base hits and 20 RBI in 21 games, while also going 3-0 with a 1.22 ERA (34.1 IP). Binford was recently named the SEC's Pitcher of the Week, following her no-hitter against Murray State on Saturday.
Hailing from Pala, Calif., Guachino has taken the nation by storm, leading the country in total strikeouts with 99 over her first 63.2 innings of college softball. Guachino holds an 8-3 record and 1.21 ERA and has quickly established herself as one of the top pitchers in the country.
As a duo, they have been critical in the Rebels owning the third-best team ERA (1.29) in the nation, behind only No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 7 Tennessee.
The Rebels are set to open SEC play this weekend, welcoming No. 10 Arkansas to town for three games, beginning with the opener on Friday at 6 p.m. CT. Tickets remain on sale and are available here.
