No. 1 Men’s Golf Through Two Rounds at SEC Championship

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – After two rounds of stroke play at the SEC Championship, the No. 1 Ole Miss men's golf team sits in 12th place. Through 36 holes the Rebels sit at (564, +4). Kye Meeks leads the way for Ole Miss at two-under, tied for 23rd.
Momentum was tough to come by on moving day for Ole Miss as Meeks and Cameron Tankersley carded the low rounds of the day at even-par 70.
Michael La Sasso carded a one-over 71 in round two and Tom Fischer shot two-over 72.
Cohen Trolio grinded out a score of three-over 73. Scorable holes were difficult to come by as the wind blew at 10-15mph most of the day at Sea Island Golf Club.
Ole Miss tallied 11 birdies as a team in round two, led by Tankersley with five.
The Rebels begin round three with Cohen Trolio set to tee off No. 10 at 7:50 a.m. CT. Fischer, Tankersley, La Sasso, and Meeks will follow off No. 10 in 10-minute increments.
Ole Miss will look to make a push tomorrow as the field will be cut to eight teams at the conclusion of tomorrow's round for quarterfinal match play beginning Saturday.
