ORLANDO, Fla. – Ole Miss men's golfer Michael La Sasso has been selected to represent the United States at the 2025 Arnold Palmer Cup, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Tuesday.
Congaree Golf Club, located in Ridgeland, S.C., will host the 29th Arnold Palmer Cup matches in 2025. The Ryder Cup-style competition, which features men’s and women’s collegiate golfers from the United States versus their International counterparts, will be played June 5-7.
It will mark the second consecutive year La Sasso will tee it up for Team USA. He became the first Rebel since Braden Thornberry in 2018 to represent Ole Miss in the prestigious event.

In his junior season, La Sasso has helped guide the Rebels to their first No. 1 ranking in program history. He leads the team with a 69.63 scoring average and has 20 rounds under-par on the year.
La Sasso currently sits tied for second alongside former Rebel Braden Thornberry for the most rounds in the 60s in a single season at 16.
The Raleigh, North Carolina native broke through for his first collegiate win back in the fall at the Hamptons Intercollegiate. La Sasso posted (201, -15) winning the tournament by 11 strokes.
He notched his second victory of the season in the team’s regular season finale at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship. Alongside his teammate Tom Fischer, La Sasso carded (203, -13) which tied the individual low-54 in tournament history.
La Sasso has helped Ole Miss to three wins this season, marking the most victories since 2016-17. The Rebels have finished inside the top two seven times with La Sasso placing inside the top five in three of those events. He is currently ranked the No. 3 NCAA Division I individual golfer.
Rebel women's golfer Caitlyn Macnab was also invited to participate in the 2025 Palmer Cup, competing for Team International. Ole Miss is one of only four schools in the nation to have both a male and female golfer appear in the event.
The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and began at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Fla., in 1997. Since its inception, over 245 former Arnold Palmer Cup alumni have gone on to earn cards on the PGA, DP World, or LPGA Tours. The United States leads the Palmer Cup series 15-12-1.
