Men’s Golf Earns No. 1 Seed in NCAA Tallahassee Regional
4/30/2025 | Men's Golf
OXFORD, Miss. – For the eighth consecutive season and 17th time in program history, the Ole Miss men's golf team found its way into the field of 81 teams announced during the 2025 NCAA Men's Selection Show after coming away with the No. 1 seed in the Tallahassee Regional.
The No. 1 seed marks the highest given to Ole Miss in program history. The previous record was set a season ago when the Rebels were named the No. 2 seed for the 2024 Stanford Regional.
Ole Miss advances to an NCAA Regional berth for the ninth time in eleven seasons under Malloy's guidance. Malloy has led his alma mater to national prominence with eight straight NCAA Regional appearances – the longest streak in program history.

The Rebels are set to head to Tallahassee, Florida for the tournament's regional round of play scheduled to take place May 12-14. The Tallahassee Regional hosted by Florida State, will take place at the Seminole Legacy Club.
It's been nothing short of a historic season for the 2024-25 team, setting new accolades no team in Ole Miss history has ever done before.
Ole Miss has tallied three wins on the season, the most since 2016-17. The Rebels have finished inside the top two seven times and six six players have carded at least one top five finish. Ole Miss has 21 rounds under-par, tied for the second most in a single season in program history. The Rebels have posted the second lowest 54-hole score in program history twice this season.
Michael La Sasso broke through in the fall for his first collegiate victory at the Hamptons Intercollegiate. He would earn his second career title alongside teammate Tom Fischer in the team’s regular season finale at the 2025 Old Waverly Collegiate Championship. The win at Old Waverly marked the first collegiate title for Fischer.
Cameron Tankersley leads the Rebels with six top 10 finishes and five Rebels have set a new career-low 54-hole score in 2024-25.
Only the top five programs, as well as the top individual from non-advancing teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, May 23-28. The NCAA Championship will ultimately feature 30 teams and six individuals from non-qualifying teams.
