The award honors one male and female student-athlete from each of the SEC's 16 member institutions. The school award winners are nominees for the Brad Davis Community Service Leaders of the Year Award, which will be announced later in May. School winners receive a $7,500 postgraduate scholarship, and the winners of the Brad Davis Community Service Leaders of the Year each receive a $15,000 postgraduate scholarship, both provided by the SEC.

Atkinstall-Daley's community service efforts include: Adopt-a-Basket, an athletic department initiative that donates more than 100 Thanksgiving baskets to families in need throughout the Lafayette-Oxford-University community; Ole Miss' morning carpool program, where student-athletes greet children throughout morning carpool drop-offs at local elementary schools; Feed the Sip, a food sustainability project within the Stronger Together MS Initiative that collects non-perishable food items for elementary students in Tunica and Quitman counties; A Night to Shine, the Tim Tebow Foundation event that hosts a community-wide prom night for individuals with disabilities; a water drive for residents in Jackson, Mississippi during the city's water crises that collected more than 5,000 bottles of water; and Books and Bears, which works in support of the Black Faculty and Staff organization to collect new books and stuffed bears to donate to families of Ole Miss facilities employees.
Horvath – a senior from Komárom, Hungary – is one of the most decorated shooters in the history of Ole Miss rifle. In her time as Rebel, Horvath earned nine All-America honors and 12 all-conference nods while leading the Rebels to several of their best national finishes all-time. Horvath has been a star academically as well, winning GARC Scholar-Athlete of the Year twice while earning national scholastic honors from the CRCA three times.
