Men’s Golf Ranked 6th in Golfweek Preseason Poll
8/27/2025 | Men's Golf
OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss men's golf program received preseason recognition Wednesday as Golfweek's preseason No. 6 team in the nation. The SEC landed 12 teams inside the preseason Top 30.
Entering his 12th season at Ole Miss, reigning Golfweek Coach of the Year Chris Malloy looks to take his group back to the NCAA Championships where they finished as semifinalists a season ago.
Ole Miss claimed three team titles in 2024-25, the most wins since 2016-17. Michael La Sasso and Tom Fischer both tallied their first individual collegiate wins, and six players finished inside the top five at least once.
The team set a program record for the most team rounds under par in a single season and the most team rounds of par or better at 26. Ole Miss finished inside the top five nine times, the most since 1984-85.
Ole Miss begins its season September 5, at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate hosted by Tennessee.
