Llamas Named Softball America Top-100 Player, Three Named to Freshman Watch List
1/12/2026 | Softball
OXFORD, Miss. – Four members of the Ole Miss softball program earned preseason honors, as Softball America released its top-100 players and Freshman Watch List on Monday.
Persy Llamas was tabbed as the No. 59 player in the nation according to Softball America, while the freshmen trio of Payton Kennedy, Addi Linton and Kaidance Till all were named to the Freshman Watch List. Linton and Till were recently named to D1Softball's same list.
Llamas is set to open up her sophomore campaign after a freshman season to remember in which she hit .354 with 10 home runs, 55 RBI and 10 doubles. Llamas led the team with a single-season record in RBI, while also leading in hits (67) and striking out just 11 times all season. Llamas would go on to earn All-SEC Second Team and NFCA All-South Region Second Team honors.
Kennedy, Linton and Till all take home a preseason nod as members of a diverse freshman class that helps replenish the Rebels roster heading into the 2026 season. Kennedy and Linton are dynamic two-way talents, while Till will provide a versatile look across multiple defensive positions.
The Rebels are set to open the regular season on Feb. 5 in a doubleheader at Cal State Fullerton to kick off the season-opening Easton Classic.
