SERIES HISTORY
This is the 69th matchup between Ole Miss and Auburn in a series that dates to 1978. Auburn leads the series 37-31, but Ole Miss has claimed victory in five of the last six matchups. Auburn has maintained the advantage in neutral site games against Ole Miss, holding a 7-4 overall record outside of home and away venues.

The Rebels claimed the first five games of the series from 1978-83. Arguably its best performance against Auburn came in the first matchup of the series on Dec. 8, 1978, when Ole Miss claimed a 107-62 victory. It was the third 100-point outing by the Rebels that season. In that game, the Rebels drained 47 field goals, which stands as the fifth-most in a single game in program history and the most by Ole Miss against an SEC opponent.

The Rebels dominated last season's competition, winning 85-58. Ole Miss didn't allow a single 3-pointer from Auburn in the game as Sira Thienou and Kennedy Todd-Williams combined for 12 steals together. KK Deans and Todd-Williams were Ole Miss' top scorers for the day, scoring 20 and 19 points, respectively. Eleven of Todd-Williams' points came from the free throw line, where she didn't miss any of her attempts.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Larry Vickers is in his first season leading Auburn's women's basketball program. He previously held a successful stint as Norfolk State's head coach, leading the Spartans on one of their most successful periods in program history. This is his first time coaching at the Power Four level.

Thus far, Vickers has guided Auburn to a 13-9 overall record, with a 2-6 mark against SEC foes. With 13 wins, Auburn already has surpassed its win total from last season, but have lagged behind recently, losing three consecutive games. The Tigers began the season 8-0 and their most impressive win has come against No. 21 Alabama, when Auburn claimed a narrow 58-54 win.

Freshman guard Harissoum Coulibaly has been Auburn's leading scorer so far this season, averaging 11.1 points per game. Guards Mya Petticord and Kaitlyn Duhon are just behind Coulibaly with 9.7 and 9.4 points per game, respectively. Khady Leye is Auburn's leading rebounder with 5.0 per game.

Thievery highlights Auburn's defensive efforts, as it averages 11.1 steals per game. That's fifth in the SEC and 33rd nationally. Duhon and Coulibaly are mostly to thank for that, as they average a combined 5.2 steals per game between the two of them. Duhon has secured 71 total steals this season, which is second in the SEC and 11th in the country. In turn, Auburn forces 20.23 turnovers per game, putting it fifth in the conference in that mark.

LAST TIME OUT
A complete, all-around effort from No. 17/17 Ole Miss women's basketball led to a toppling of No. 5/6 Vanderbilt, 83-75, Friday afternoon in Birmingham, Alabama.

With the win, head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin has guided the Rebels to a pair of victories against top five opponents this season, the other being against No. 5 Oklahoma earlier in January. The Rebels have accomplished this team feat only twice before, last time being during the 1995-96 season when they bested No. 5 Vanderbilt and No. 3 Tennessee just 10 days apart. For McPhee-McCuin, it marks her 17th ranked win as the leader of the Rebels, and her third against top five opponents.

Ole Miss extended its win streak against Vanderbilt to six games, the longest such streak in series history. Once again, the Rebels were tasked with halting one of the best 3-point shooting schools in the SEC and completely shut them down from long distance. Vanderbilt averaged 9.9 3-pointers per game entering today's contest but made only four on a 25 percent shooting clip.

Cotie McMahon and Christeen Iwuala paved the way for the Rebels, scoring 27 and 18 points, respectively. Iwuala tied her career-high in rebounds with 14 to earn her eighth career double-double, all of which have come this season. She also paced the team in blocks (with two) and steals (with three) in 35 minutes of action. She shot a highly efficient 72.7 percent clip for the day.

Latasha Lattimore and Kaitlin Peterson joined the double-digit scoring club for the day, adding 12 and 11 points, respectively.

TOPPLED THE TOP FIVE
With wins over No. 5 Oklahoma and No. 5 Vanderbilt, head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin has guided the Rebels to a pair of victories against top five opponents this season. All-time, Ole Miss' has defeated a top five team 15 times, four of those coming within this century.

This season, Ole Miss is one of only three SEC schools to have defeated two top five opponents in conference play, joining South Carolina and Kentucky. Off that short list, the Rebels are the only team to have not gotten at least one of those wins on their home court, instead securing top five victories on the road and at a neutral site.

C-SQUARED
Christeen Iwuala and Cotie McMahon have become quite the dynamic duo for the Rebels. Combined the two seniors account for 42.1% of the Rebels' points this season and together have been the game leaders in scoring 21 out of the 22 matchups. In rebounding, the pair has accounted for 34.3% of Ole Miss' total rebounds, leading the Rebels' in boards in 18 out of the 22 games so far. Iwuala has earned eight double-doubles this year, and McMahon has notched four, combining for 12 of the 14 double-doubles any Rebel has registered during the 2025-26 season.

THE IWUALA IMPACT
Christeen Iwuala has established herself as one of the top frontcourt players in the SEC throughout the season. She has recorded a double-double in a team-high eight outings this year, after previously never earning the feat in any of her three seasons of collegiate basketball prior.

Additionally, Iwuala has grabbed the most rebounds by a Rebel in 13 games this year, leading Ole Miss in the category, while also leading the Rebels in scoring six times. Iwuala is following the pattern that Rebel transfers under Coach Yo tend to blossom in their second year in Oxford, joining the likes of Marquesha Davis, Angel Baker and Shakira Austin.

SHE'S THE mcMAHON
Cotie McMahon has provided a spark to the Ole Miss offense in her first season in Oxford. She scored at least 10 points in each of Ole Miss' first 19 games this season, tying Bianca Thomas for the longest such streak in recent memory by a Rebel, who started the 2009-10 season with 19 consecutive games of double-digit points.

On the season, McMahon has 12 games north of 20 points, which ties Armintie Price (2005-06) and Clara Jackson (1993-94) for the 14th-most 20-plus point games in a single season by any Rebel. She's two games away from tying her personal career high in single season 20-plus point games, which she set at her previous school.

McMahon likes to share the love, as the four times that she has earned a double-double in a game, another Rebel has earned the same feat. Alongside McMahon, Christeen Iwuala earned double-doubLes against Southern and Memphis, Latasha Lattimore earned one against Wofford and Sira Thienou notched a double-double versus Missouri.
