Track & Field’s Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan on The Bowerman Watch List February Update
2/5/2026 | Track and Field
NEW ORLEANS – Ole Miss track & field senior and three-time NCAA Champion Tarik Robinson-O'Hagan remains on the watch list for The Bowerman for 2026, as announced in its February update on Thursday afternoon.
The Bowerman – collegiate track & field's version of the Heisman Trophy – began in 2009 and is presented each year to the most outstanding male and female athletes in the nation. The trophy is named after famed Oregon head coach, Bill Bowerman.
This is the 10th watch list appearance for Robinson-O'Hagan, all consecutively, since first doing so in the preseason for the 2025 season. His first connection with The Bowerman, however, was as an award semifinalist following his superb sophomore campaign in 2024. Robinson-O'Hagan is one of three throwers on the February watch list and one of four athletes overall from the SEC alongside Oklahoma thrower Ralford Mullings, Georgia sprinter Jonathan Simms and Auburn hurdler Ja'Kobe Tharp.
Last week, Robinson-O'Hagan was named the co-winner of the SEC Field Athlete of the Week after resetting his own national collegiate lead in the shot put at Clemson's Bob Pollock Invitational, launching an overall career-best 21.18m/69-6. This season, that blast ranks him third among all Americans and fourth on the world list. All five of his legal throws traveled at least 20.71m/67-11.50, an impressive feat compared to his prior national lead entering of 20.76m/68-01.50.
Robinson-O'Hagan's performance improved upon his spot at No. 2 in SEC history and No. 20 in collegiate history indoors, and it has him within striking distance of becoming the first 70-footer indoors in conference history. His new shot put PR also improved his career indoor shot/weight throw combined best to 45.53m, second in collegiate history only to North Dakota State's Peyton Otterdahl from 2019 (45.92m). Robinson-O'Hagan has not lost a shot put competition to a fellow collegian indoors since the 2024 Razorback Invitational.
He was also the top collegiate finisher in the weight throw at Clemson last week, finishing runner-up at 23.43m/76-10.50. He still leads the SEC and ranks third nationally at his season-debut 23.78m/78-00.25, and has only lost to fellow collegians in the weight throw four times in his Ole Miss career – three times in the NCAA final.
Across his spectacular career, Robinson-O'Hagan is a three-time NCAA Champion, 12-time All-American, nine-time SEC Champion, four-time SEC Field Athlete of the Year, three-time SEC points trophy winner and 10-time SEC medalist with 59 career NCAA points and 104 SEC points scored.
The next watch list updates are scheduled for Wed., March 4 (women) and Thurs., March 5 (men).
Both Rebel squads will hit the road this week for the New Mexico Classic, which is set to run Feb. 6-7 in Albuquerque.
