5/14/2026 | Softball
OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss softball program has landed four on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-South Region teams, as the NFCA announced on Thursday.
Leading the way for the Rebels were freshman Madi George and junior Cassie Reasner, who both earned NFCA All-South Region first team honors. Sophomore Persy Llamas was named to the second team, while senior Emilee Boyer lands on the third team.
George becomes the first Rebel freshman to ever be named to the first team in her region. Additionally, George and Reasner become the eighth and ninth Rebels in program history to earn NFCA All-South Region first team honors.
Llamas also joins an exclusive list of Rebels to earn multiple NFCA All-South Region honors, joining Kylan Becker, Elantra Cox, Lauren Grill and Jalia Lassiter.
Over the last two seasons, the Rebels have garnered 10 All-Region honors, with a record-setting six in 2025. The four in 2026 represent the second-highest total in program history.
George, Llamas and Reasner have contributed to a school record 79 home runs, powering an explosive offense that ranks in the top-25 nationally in the long ball. Boyer has anchored the Rebel pitching staff, tallying 145 strikeouts to rank ninth in the single-season record books at Ole Miss.
The Rebels open the 2026 NCAA Tournament in the Lubbock Regional on Friday, facing off against Boston University at 1 p.m. CT. The game will be televised via ESPNU.
