Industry veteran Billy Glasscock is in his second season as Ole Miss football’s general manager. Glasscock assists head coach Lane Kiffin in developing and executing the vision and strategic plan for all areas of the Ole Miss football program. Areas Glasscock oversees include strategic planning, staff performance, program budgeting, staff leadership, player acquisition, roster and cap management, recruiting, player development and player retention.

Glasscock was instrumental in compiling the powerful 2024 Rebel roster that shattered several program records, ranked as the best backfield defensive attack in college football and produced an Ole Miss seven-round era record eight NFL Draft picks. In his time in Oxford, Glasscock has helped bring in the No. 1 (2024) and No. 2 (2025) rated transfer signee classes in the nation to Ole Miss, in addition to two straight top-25 ranked high school classes.

Glasscock came to Ole Miss following three seasons at Texas from 2021-23 as the director of player personnel.

Glasscock has spent a decade overseeing all facets of recruiting and player personnel at Power Five programs. Prior to Texas, he was the director of player personnel at NC State, where he led recruiting activities and roster management from 2017-20. Before his time in Raleigh, Glasscock was the director of recruiting at Minnesota from 2011-16. In 2014, national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming named him one of five national directors of recruiting operations of the year.

Glasscock’s earlier experience comes on the coaching side. From 2009-10, he was a recruiting operations assistant and assistant strength and conditioning coach at Northern Illinois, with prior stints as an assistant coach at Arizona Western in 2008 and at Joliet Junior College from 2002-07.

Glasscock holds a bachelor’s degree from the United States Sports Academy. He has four children: Ava (13), Maddie (13), Will (8) and Lily (6).
