Jaida Williams spent two seasons as an assistant coach under head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin from 2022-24.
 
Williams made an immediate impact in her first season in Oxford, overseeing some of the Rebels' best shooters in Marquesha Davis and Snudda Collins. In her first season at Ole Miss, Williams assisted Davis in improving her scoring by a whopping 78 percent to become one of the team's best threats in their first Sweet 16 run since 2007. In her second season, Williams mentored Davis into becoming the Rebels' leading scorer en route to First Team All-SEC honors.
 
Prior to Ole Miss, Williams was at the helm of the Coastal Carolina program for nine years from 2013-22. In her nine seasons in Conway, Williams elevated and changed the landscape of the Chanticleer program. Williams led Coastal to a program record 25 victories in the 2019-20 season and was named the Sun Belt Conference’s Coach of the Year. 
 
In her tenure, Coastal Carolina went 129-127 (.504) overall, and 69-90 in conference play as Williams guided the Chanticleers through the transition from the Big South to the Sun Belt. 
 
Under her tutelage, DJ Williams was selected the 2020 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and first-team All-Conference, while Naheria Hamilton was tabbed as the Sun Belt’s Defensive Player of the Year. 
 
The Chanticleers also reached its first postseason appearance in program history under Williams, after accepting an invitation to play in the 2019 Women’s Basketball Invitational (WBI). Coastal also reached the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Championship for the second straight season, as Williams oversaw the Sun Belt’s leading scorer for the second straight year in a row.
 
In 2017-18, Williams led the Chants to a 17-14 overall record, reaching double-digit wins in Sun Belt play to finish seventh in the league, while also winning its first Sun Belt Conference Tournament game. Under Williams coaching, Jas Adams was the Sun Belt’s leading scorer averaging over 18 points per game as she became the program’s first student-athlete to earn All-Sun Belt first team honors.
 
As the Chants completed their inaugural season in the Sun Belt, Coastal went 13-16 overall, including an 8-10 record in conference play to finish eighth. Coastal wrapped up the regular season strong by winning four of their final five games. Senior point guard Ced Gibson became the first student-athlete in program history to be voted All-Sun Belt after placing in the top 10 in the conference in seven statistical categories.
 
The 2015-16 season saw the Chants finish with a 12-18 record for the second consecutive year, including a 7-13 mark against Big South Opponents. The 2015-16 season included several notable wins, including Coastal's first-ever victory over Clemson on Nov. 15. The Chants also snapped a 45-game losing streak to Liberty with a 58-51 win over the Flames on Feb. 20 in Lynchburg, Va.
 
Her first two years in Conway included the best mark in four seasons, with a 15-16 record during the 2013-14 season, while 10 conference victories marked the most since the 1993-94 campaign.
 
Prior to her time at Coastal, Williams spent the 2012-13 season at Wake Forest as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator where she built a top-20 recruiting class.
 
Before Winston Sale, Williams spent time with Ganon Baker Basketball, where she traveled the country working with WNBA players as a skills development coordinator as skills development coordinator.
 
Williams spent three seasons at UCSB from 2008-11, where she played an instrumental role in helping the Gauchos win two Big West regular-season and tournament titles. UCSB made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2009 and received a WNIT berth in 2011.
 
Williams joined the Gaucho staff after two successful seasons as an assistant at the University of South Florida from 2006-08, where she assisted with recruiting, game preparation, and player development. During her stint at USF, she successfully recruited a top 16 class and made a pair of WNIT appearances.

Before joining the staff at South Florida, Williams served as the director of operations at the University of Iowa for the 2005-06 season.
 
Williams is an active member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
 
As a player, Williams was a standout for Cal Poly Pomona from 2002-05, assisting the Broncos to a 23-7 record as a senior and a spot in the NCAA Division II Tournament Regional Final. Williams graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
