Ole Miss Baseball Inks Two More Early Signees

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss baseball signed Clinton's Sam Graham and California's Jeff McGregor to national letters of intent during the early fall signing period, Rebel head coach Pat Harrison announced Thursday.

Graham and McGregor are the third and fourth signees for Ole Miss during the early signing period. On Tuesday, Ole Miss signed right-hander Michael Posey and infielder Brent Walker out of Itawamba Community College.

A left-handed pitcher at Canada Junior College in Redwood City, Calif., McGregor went 13-0 last season and struck out 117 in 93 innings pitched to earn first-team Junior College All-America honors. A native of Palo Alto, Calif., McGregor attended Palo Alto High School. Canada Junior College is also the same college where current Rebel Craig Nugen transferred from last year.

"Jeff signed with us from a very fine junior college program in California," Harrison said. "He is an oustanding junior college pitcher and we're delighted that he has decided to come to Ole Miss."

Graham, a right-handed pitcher, was 6-4 last season with a 2.10 ERA as a junior at Clinton High School. He also registered 83 strike outs in 63.1 innings pitched and helped Clinton to an appearance in the state playoffs and earned All-District honors.

"Sam is someone that we feel can develop into an oustanding pitcher for us," Harrison said. "He is a very hard-working young man and we think he'll play a big role for us in the future."

Ole Miss is coming off a 34-28 season that saw the Rebels advance to the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 1995.
