Rebel Netter Falls in Second Round at Arizona State Tourney

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Vikrant Chada of the No. 5 nationally-ranked Ole Miss men's tennis team advanced to the second round of singles at the Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational Thursday before losing.

Chada defeated Tim Hammond of ASU in the first round 7-5, 6-3 before falling in three sets to Tom Chicone of Arizona State 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in the second round. Chada is now 7-3 on the season.

Rebel freshman Sebastien Lami had to retire in his first-round match against ASU's Brian O'Grady down 6-2, 1-0, due to an injury. Because of Lami's injury, Ole Miss defaulted their doubles match the team from Minnesota.
