The two runs by Louisiana Tech in the first inning, were the first allowed by Ole Miss in the first inning this season.
Ole Miss has outscored the opposition 29-4 during the first three innings this season.
1B Jude Voltz drove in a career-high five RBIs this afternoon, going 2-for-3 with a three-run HR and a two-run double. His previous career-high was four set on April 4, 1999 at Vanderbilt.
Voltz has now recorded at least one RBI in five of Ole Miss' six games.
Burney Hutchinson went 1-for-3 to extend his career-best hitting streak to six games.
Freshman RHP Evan Conley pitched a scoreless ninth inning in his collegiate debut, and freshman OF Matt Mossberg also played in his first career game.
