OLE MISS TIPS OFF 25TH SEASON ...
The 1999-2000 season marks the 25th anniversary of women's basketball at Ole Miss. In the last 24 years, the Lady Rebels have accumulated more than 500 wins, 23 winning seasons, been to 14 NCAA Tournaments, and advanced to the Elite Eight four times and the Sweet Sixteen seven times.

LADY REBELS HOST NO. 4 TENNESSEE ...
The Lady Rebels return home to host No. 3 Tennessee Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Tad Smith Coliseum. The game is being broadcast by Comcast Cable. The Lady Rebels are coming off a 75-58 loss at South Carolina, Sunday, while Tennessee defeated Alabama 65-47.

OLE MISS GAMES CAN BE HEARD ON WQLJ ...
All Ole Miss Lady Rebel games -- home and away -- can be heard on the radio on WQLJ 93.7 FM, with each broadcast beginning 15 minutes prior to tip-off. Gary Darby returns for his eighth season as the "Voice of the Lady Rebels." The broadcast is also available on the internet at www.WQLJ.com.

SOUTH CAROLINA RUNS PAST OLE MISS ...
South Carolina used a pair of early runs in the first half to run away from Ole Miss in a 75-58 win at Columbia, Sunday. Please see a recap and boxscore from the game on page 7.

SCOUTING TENNESSEE ...
Tennessee, ranked No. 3, comes into the game with a 19-3 overall record, 7-1 in the SEC. They are coming off a 65-47 win over Alabama. The Lady Vols are led by Tamika Catchings, who is averaging 14.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Freshman guard Kara Lawson is second on the team at 14.5 points per game. Tennessee is averaging a conference-leading 83.4 points per game while giving up only 64.8. The Lady Vols are shooting 46.3 percent from the floor and are averaging 43.2 rebounds per game. They are holding opponents to 32.7 rebounds per game a margin of 10.5, which ranks first in the conference.

SERIES VERSUS TENNESSEE ...
This will be the 30th meeting between Tennessee and Ole Miss. Tennessee leads the series 22-7, and has won nine of the last 10 meetings including both of last year's games, a 92-51 win in Oxford on Dec. 28, and a 96-58 win in Knoxville on Feb. 4. RECAP
Tennessee outrebounded Ole Miss 55-33 en route to a 96-58 win over the Lady Rebels in Knoxville. Semeka Randall led Tennessee with 23 points and Tamika Catchings added 16. Becky Myatt scored 15 points for Ole Miss. The Lady Vols, who shot 57 percent from the filed, used a full-court defense to open a 23-5 lead in the first seven minutes of the game. Ole Miss committed eight turnovers in the first six minutes and hit just four of its first 16 shots. The Lady Vols led 47-25 at the half and opened the second half with a 12-4 run.

RON ALDY SHOW TO AIR WEDNESDAY'S ...
The second edition of the "Ron Aldy Coaches Show" will air Wednesday's at 5 p.m. The show will air in Oxford on cable channel 12. It will also air in Grenada on Thursday's at 6:00 p.m. on cable channel 13. The show will feature highlights from previous games, a chalk talk session with an assistant coach and player profiles.

HOME SWEET HOME ...
Ole Miss closed out another successful campaign in Tad Smith Coliseum last year. With an 86-77 win over Auburn, the Lady Rebels finished with a 10-3 record at home. Ole Miss owns an impressive 273-52 record (.840 winning percentage) at home and has never had a losing record in Tad Smith Coliseum. The Lady Rebels have gone undefeated at home four times.

LADY REBELS LIKE "TAD PAD" IN SEC PLAY ...
The Lady Rebels have had great success in Tad Smith Coliseum against SEC schools. In the history of the SEC, the Lady Rebels are 71-30 (.703 winning percentage) at home. The Lady Rebels have gone undefeated in SEC play at home four times and finished with one loss six times. Ole Miss finished 5-2 in SEC home games last year.

MYATT FINDS SHOOTING TOUCH IN COLUMBIA ...
Junior guard Becky Myatt found her shooting touch at South Carolina, Sunday. In the first half she was just 1-of-4 from the floor but at the end she would finish 6-of-12 including 5-of-10 from three-point range for a season-high 19 points.

OLE MISS VERSUS THE VOLUNTEER STATE ...
In their 24-year history, the Lady Rebels have an 81-51 (.613 winning percentage) record versus schools from the state of Tennessee. Ole Miss has a winning record in every series versus Tennessee schools with the exception of Tennessee and Vanderbilt. They are 72-50 (.590 winning percentage) versus Tennessee schools on this year's schedule.

FRESHMAN SCORES CAREER-HIGH ...
Freshman Kayla Madewell scored a career-high 15 points in the Alabama game. She went 5-of-12 from the floor including three three-pointers. She also had four rebounds and three steals in 24 minutes.

STEPPING INTO HER ROLE ...
Junior Chandra Dorsey has been starting at point guard since sophomore Takela Corbitt injured her knee in the Vanderbilt game, and she has taken to her role quite nicely. In five of the last eight games, Dorsey has scored in double digits including 13 points at LSU and a season-high 18 against Georgia. She also has 32 assists in the last seven games. Against Georgia, She was 7-of-15 from the field including 4-of-8 from three-point range. She hit two threes down the stretch against Mississippi State as the Lady Rebels attempted a comeback.

KIRK MISSES HER FIRST GAME OF THE YEAR ...
Sophomore Von Kirk missed her first game of the year, last Thursday against Mississippi State. The Huntsville, Ala., native has mono and is listed as day-to-day.

DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE ...
Senior Frankie Boyd recorded her fifth career double-double and third of the season, in the LSU game, with 12 points and 11 rebounds. She had a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds against Montana State and also scored 27 points and 11 rebounds versus Alabama.

DOUBLE DIGITS FOR BOYD ...
Senior Frankie Boyd has scored in double digits in 17 games for the Lady Rebels and has 28 career double-digit games. She had one of her best games this season, against Alabama, shooting 57 percent on 12-of-21 from the floor and grabbing 11 rebounds. Boyd was one point shy of a career-high, which she scored against Montana State.

DORSEY DISHES OUT CAREER BEST ...
Junior Chandra Dorsey dished out a career-best six assists in the Alabama game, Jan. 20. She tied her career-high with six assists in the LSU game.

CORBITT RETURNS ...
Sophomore point guard Takela Corbitt returned to the game, against LSU, and saw limited action, playing seven minutes. She did not see action against Georgia, but did play 12 minutes in the Alabama game. Corbitt missed three games after straining her MCL in her right knee, against Vanderbilt.

LADY REBELS AMONG TEAMS OF THE 1990s ...
Ole Miss was among the top 35 teams of the nineties in Division I women's basketball for total wins. The Lady Rebels ranked 31st overall with 203 wins and were one of seven SEC teams named to the list. Furthermore, the Lady Rebels were among the best in winning percentage for the nineties at .659 (203-105).

LADY REBELS ONE OF WINNINGEST TEAMS IN SEC ...
Since the Southeastern Conference began regular-season play in the 1981-82 season, the Lady Rebels have posted a winning record in conference play in 11 of 18 years. Tennessee is first with 16 winning seasons in SEC play, followed by Georgia (13), Auburn (12) and Ole Miss (11). Last year, the Lady Rebels joined a select group in the SEC with their win over Arkansas, becoming the fourth SEC school to win 100 conference games. Tennesse, Georgia and Auburn are the other three SEC schools which have won 100 conference games. The Lady Rebels have 101 conference wins.

PICKING UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF ...
The Lady Rebels have already picked up where they left off in the decade of the nineties. Ole Miss posted a 121-28 record (.812 winning percentage) versus non-conference teams in the decade of the 90s. They are 2-0 in this decade after wins over Tennessee Tech and Belmont.

CAREER DAY FOR VON ...
Sophomore Von Kirk scored a career-high 19 points in her first career start, against Belmont. Kirk finished 7-of-12 from the floor, including 3-of-6 from the three-point line. She has scored in doubles digits in 11 games this year, including six of the last nine.

MYATT MOVING UP THREE-POINT CHART ...
Junior guard Becky Myatt is one of the top three-point shooters in Ole Miss history and she is making her way up the career charts. She already owns the single-season record with 65 set last year and is tied for the most in a game with seven, made last year against Auburn. With her three three-pointers in the win over Tennessee Tech, Myatt moved into second and has 155 career three-pointers. Myatt needs 40 to become the all-time leader. Regan Seybert (1993-97) heads the list with 194 career threes.

MYATT FROM DOWNTOWN ...
Becky Myatt has scored at least one three-pointer in 25 out of the last 27 games dating back to the Mississippi State game on Feb. 11 of last year. She has at least one three-pointer in every game this year except the Northern Arizona game and the Vanderbilt game. In addition she has hit three or more treys in nine games this year.

KING OF THE THREES! ...
The 1998-99 Lady Rebel team set the single season record for three-pointers with 178, averaging 6.4 treys per game. This year's teams is already on pace to break that record. The Lady Rebels are averaging 7.2 three-pointers, first in the conference. In the Jan. 31 NCAA statistics, the Lady Rebels were ranked 12th in three-point field goals made per game.

IT MUST BE 70 ...
It appears the magic number for the Lady Rebels this year is 70. When they score 70 or more points, they are 8-0. In all 10 of their losses, they have scored less than 70 points.

MURPHY HAS CAREER NIGHT ...
Junior Stephanie Murphy notched her first career double-double including a career-high 10 rebounds in the win over Southern Miss. Her previous high was nine versus UMKC last year. Murphy added 10 points, three assists and one steal in the winning effort.

KIRK ALL OVER THE BOARDS IN WIN ...
Sophomore Von Kirk had a career night on the boards against Southern Mississippi with seven rebounds. Against Tennessee Tech she grabbed seven boards again.

MYATT DISHES OUT #200 ...
Junior guard Becky Myatt reached a milestone in her career. In the Northern Arizona game, Myatt dished out her 200th career assist She finished with seven assists for the night and currently leads the team with 67 assists for the year. Myatt has 238 career assists.

ALL OVER THE GLASS ...
The Lady Rebels are outrebounding their opponents through the first 21 games of the season. Ole Miss is averaging 43.9 rebounds per game, while allowing opponents 39.0 per game, a margin of 4.9 per game. The Lady Rebels have been outrebounded five times this year. In the Jan. 31 NCAA statistics, Ole Miss was ranked 12th in three-point field goals made per game with 7.2.

BOYD, MYATT NAMED TO ALL-TOURNEY TEAM ...
Senior Frankie Boyd and junior Becky Myatt were named to the Northern Arizona Hilton Garden Inn Classic All-Tournament team. Boyd averaged 17.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in two games. Myatt averaged 9.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the tournament.

A CAREER HIGH FOR BANTZ ...
Junior Heather Bantz scored a career-high 13 points to lead Ole Miss over Middle Tennessee 76-44. Bantz went 5-of-6 from the floor including 3-of-3 from behind the arc. Her previous high was 12 against Florida State during the 1997-98 season.

WYSINGER NETS CAREER-HIGH ...
Senior Sinissia Wysinger recorded a career-high 12 points, all in the second half, to spark the Lady Rebels in their 79-66 win over Cal-Poly in the South Florida Classic. Her previous best was 11 versus Auburn last year.

FRESHMAN NETS CAREER HIGHS ...
Lady Rebel freshman Shayla Day netted a career high 11 points and nine rebounds in the win over Arkansas-Little Rock. She played 17 minutes. She had seven rebounds against Bowling Green and scored eight points and five rebounds versus Montana State in the championship game of the GranTree Classic. In the South Florida Classic, Day had seven points on 3-of-4 from the field against Delaware. In the win over Tennessee Tech, Day scored eight points on 4-of-6 from the floor. Against Vanderbilt, Day scored nine points and pulled down six rebounds in 15 minutes.

OLE MISS WINS 34TH REGULAR SEASON TOURNAMENT TITLE ...
Ole Miss won its 34th regular season tournament title this season, capturing the Montana State GranTree Classic in Bozeman, Mt. With their win over Montana State in the championship game, the Lady Rebels hit the century mark in tournament wins. They now have a 103-26 record in regular season tournaments.

BOYD NAMED TOURNAMENT MVP ...
Ole Miss senior Frankie Boyd was named the Montana State GranTree Classic Most Valuable Player. Boyd scored 27 points and 13 rebounds in the championship game against Montana State to lead the Lady Rebels to the title. She scored 23 of her 27 in the second half. Junior Becky Myatt was also named to the All-Tournament team. She scored 14 points, including four three-pointers, grabbed six rebounds and dished out seven assists in the Lady Rebels' first-round win over Bowling Green.

LADY REBELS SET NCAA RECORD AT TOURNEY ...
Ole Miss and Bowling Green combined to set an NCAA record for three-pointers in a game by two teams with 31. The Lady Rebels had 17, while Bowling Green finished with 14. The previous high by two teams in one game, was 26 by Oklahoma and Iowa State on Jan. 7, 1996. The two teams also set a record for attempts with 75. The previous high was 67 by Morehead State and Marshall on Dec. 6, 1994. In addition, the Lady Rebels finished one three shy of the NCAA record for three-pointers in a game by one team. Villanova holds that record with 18 against Pennsylvania on Dec. 20, 1997.

LADY REBELS SET SCHOOL RECORD FOR THREES ...
Ole Miss set a school record for three-pointers in a game with 17 against Bowling Green. The previous best was 16 made against Auburn on Feb. 21, 1999. Takela Corbitt, Stephanie Murphy and Becky Myatt had four threes each, while Heather Bantz connected for three behind the arc. Von Kirk and TaShondrea Moton each had one to round out the three-pointers. The Lady Rebels also set a school record for attempts with 41. The previous best was 36 versus Wright State in 1996-97.

LADY REBELS TIE SEC RECORD ...
Ole Miss' 17 three-pointers in the Bowling Green game ties an SEC record for most three-pointers in a game. South Carolina had 17 against Western Carolina in 1994.

BOYD NETS CAREER-HIGHS ...
Senior Frankie Boyd netted a career-high 27 points and 13 rebounds in the championship game against Montana State. She was 8-of-26 from the floor and scored 23 of her 27 points in the second half as Ole Miss overcame a 17-point deficit. Her previous high was 24 against Tennessee-Martin last year.

MOTON GRABS CAREER-HIGH NINE BOARDS ...
Sophomore TaShondrea Moton grabbed a career-high nine rebounds in the championship game of the GranTree Classic. She had seven defensive boards. Her previous high was eight against Clemson earlier this year. She is averaging 4.4 rebounds per game this year.

IMPRESSIVE OUTSIDE THE SEC ...
The Lady Rebels compiled an impressive record outside the Southeastern Conference in regular-season play in the decade of the 90s. Ole Miss finished with a 121-28 record (.812 winning percentage) versus non-conference teams in the decade of the 90s. The Lady Rebels' best non-conference record of the decade came during the 1991-92 SEC Championship season, as they compiled a 15-1 mark versus non-conference foes. The Lady Rebels have an overall 74-22 record (.771 winning percentage) versus non-conference opponents on this year's schedule.

IT KEEPS GOING AND GOING ...
With six three-pointers in the South Carolina game, Ole Miss has now hit a three-pointer in a school record 169 consecutive games. The record dates back to the 1993-94 campaign. The last time that the Lady Rebels did not hit a three-pointer in a game was on Feb. 23, 1994, in a 73-64 win over Mississippi State in Starkville. The NCAA record for consecutive games scoring a three-point field goal is 211 by Tennessee Tech (1989-1996).

STARTING AT GUARD ...
Junior guard Becky Myatt has started 80 consecutive games since her freshman year. In addition, Myatt has led the team in minutes played each of the last two seasons.

HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE ...
The Lady Rebels have made their presence known across the country visiting more than half the United States to play basketball. This year, the Lady Rebels visited Bozeman, Mt., for Thanksgiving to play in the Montana State Tournament. Just before the Christmas break, the Lady Rebels traveled to Flagstaff, Ariz., to participate in the Northern Arizona Classic, and also visited the Grand Canyon.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION ...
Ole Miss will appear on television three times this year. The Lady Rebels' game against South Carolina will be televised by FoxSportsNetSouth. This year College Sports Southeast will televise more than 60 men's and women's games throughout the state of Alabama and Mississippi. The Lady Rebels will appear on CSSE, Feb. 3 against Mississippi State. Also, the Ole Miss/Tennessee game on Feb. 10 will be televised locally by Comcast Cable.

IT'S ALL ACADEMIC ...
Several members of the Lady Rebel basketball team made one of the University's three honor rolls for the fall semester. TaShondrea Moton made the Chancellor's Honor Roll. Tanya Bolden, Takela Corbitt, Shayla Day and Chandra Dorsey made the Dean's Honor Roll, and Von Kirk, Stephanie Murphy, and Becky Myatt made the UMAA Honor Roll.

DRIBBLES ...
The Lady Rebels will face 11 teams that went to postseason play, including nine NCAA Tournament teams...In the SEC rotation, the Lady Rebels will play Vanderbilt and Alabama twice in addition to Mississippi State...Junior Stephanie Murphy is serving as a student representative on the Ole Miss Athletic Committee. Senior Tanya Bolden was named to the SEC Good Works Team. Bolden works with the Habitat for Humanity and is a mentor to Elementary kids. A member of FCA, Bolden volunteers with Special Olympics.
