TENNESSEE NOTES

Kris Bennett went 3-for-6 tonight to extend his hitting streak to 18 games.

Tennessee is now 2-5 this season when the opposition scores first.

This was the Volunteers' third straight games with 15 or more hits.

Jamie Bennett pitched his first complete game of the season tonight.

OLE MISS NOTES

Tonight's loss was the first at home for starter Jeff McAvoy since April 4, 1998 against South Carolina. McAvoy had won his last nine decisions at home prior to tonight.

Chad Hill went 1-for-3 to extend his hitting streak to a career best 11 games.

Tonight was first time in five games that Ole Miss did not hit a home run.

Jude Voltz went 2-for-4 to record his team best 13th multi-hit game of the season and extend his hitting streak to a season best seven games.
