TENNESSEE NOTES
Head Coach Rod Delmonico was ejected in the third inning for arguing a called third strike on Brandon Hopkins' check swing.
Kris Bennett went 3-for-5 to extend his hitting streak to a career best 19 games.
OLE MISS NOTES
Chad Hill went 0-for-3 tonight to snap a career best 11 game hit streak.
Brett Young tied his longest career outing, pitching five innings of relief. He also went five innings in a start against Southern Miss on Feb. 29 in Hattiesburg.
Young also tied a career-high with four strikeouts.
The four steals tonight by the Volunteers was the most by an opponent against Ole Miss this season. The previous high was three by South Alabama on Feb. 25.
Tonight's loss clinches the series for Tennessee and marks the first time that Ole Miss will lose a home SEC series since South Carolina swept the Rebels, April 3-5 in 1998. Prior to this weekend, Ole Miss had won seven straight SEC home series.
