Ole Miss starter Joey Cramblitt tied his career high with eight strikeouts in six innings of work.
Tonight's loss by Cramblitt was his first against a non-conference opponent since April 15, 1998 when dropped a decision at Southern Miss. Cramblitt is now 17-3 in his career with a 3.49 ERA (126.1 IP, 49 ER) against non-conference opponents.
The 10 hits by Baylor marked just the third time Rebel pitching has 10 or more hits in 14 games this season.
Junior catcher Carl Lafferty was 0-for-3 tonight, snapping his 11-game hit streak.
Tonight's game was the Rebels' first against a ranked opponent this season.
