SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Lady Rebel volleyball team evened its record at 2-2, after defeating Wyoming 15-11, 15-2, 10-15, 15-3, in their final match of the Texas-San Antonio Invitational. Ole Miss took home the third place trophy from the two-day tournament and head coach John Blair was pleased with his team in their season-opening tournament.

"Even though we split our matches both days," said Blair, "we had a chance to see the Ole Miss team we know is there. We faced some tough competition this weekend and I was very encouraged by our performance."

Leading the way for Ole Miss against the Cowgirls was senior outside hitter Kira Zschau. The Dunedin, Fla., native recorded 11 kills on 25 attempts (.360) and eight digs. Zschau also tallied two solo blocks.

Senior setter Renata Nowacki continued to pace Ole Miss in assists with 35. Nowacki also contributed 11 digs and five kills. Junior outside hitter Jaime Burns added 10 kills, nine digs and four service aces for the Lady Rebels.

Nowacki earned all tournament honors after averaging 11.19 assists per game and 2.94 digs for Ole Miss in the two-day tournament.

Ole Miss will return to action on Friday at the Jayhawk Invitational in Lawrence, Kan., where they will face East Carolina, Furman, West Virginia and host Kansas.
