BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Natalie Powers scored 28 points and was 11-for-11 from the line as Western Kentucky beat Mississippi 95-92 on Wednesday night in the first round of the Women's NIT.

ShaRae Mansfield added 26 points to help the Hilltoppers (18-13) advance to a second-round game against Indiana, a 66-63 winner over Middle Tennessee on Wednesday.

Jamie Truitt had 19 points and Kristina Covington scored 13.

Von Kirk led Mississippi (17-13) with 23 points. Becky Myatt added 19, Sherika Wright 14 and Tenisha Gist 10.

The Hilltoppers led 42-37 at halftime.
