Lady Rebels To Host Arkansas In SEC Opener

OXFORD, Miss. - ,The Ole Miss women's basketball team will host Arkansas (9-3) in the first Southeastern Conference game of the season for both teams, on Sunday, Jan. 6. Game time is set for 2 p.m. (CT), at Tad Smith Coliseum.
Ole Miss (8-5) will play at home for the first time since Dec. 15. The Lady Rebels have played away from the friendly confines of Tad Smith Coliseum in five of their last six games, including the past four in a row.
The Lady Rebels will be looking to get back into the win column after falling to Temple, 84-69, in their last outing. Freshman guard Ally Kelly leads three Ole Miss players in double figures through the first 13 games of the season with 12.2 points per game. Seniors Sherika Wright and Von Kirk are averaging 11.5 and 10.8 points per game, respectively.
The Lady Razorbacks are led by sophomore Shamecka Christon in both scoring and rebounding with 14.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest.
Ole Miss is 14-6 in SEC openers and 13-7 in SEC home openers. The Lady Rebels are 4- 0 at Tad Smith Coliseum this season.
