Rebels Climb To No. 11 In Collegiate Baseball Top 30

OXFORD, Miss. - After posting a 5-0 record last week, including a three-game Southeastern Conference series sweep at Kentucky, Ole Miss moved up in all three of the major college baseball polls that were released Monday.
The Rebels received a ranking as high as No. 11 in the Collegiate Baseball Top 30, up four spots from last week. Ole Miss jumped five spots in the Baseball Weekly/ESPN Coaches Top 25 to No. 13, and moved up four spots to No. 15 in the Baseball America Top 25.
Ole Miss, 21-7 on the season, will play in-state rival Mississippi State, 14-9-1, Wednesday night in Jackson, Miss., at 6:30 p.m., in the 23rd annual Mayor's Trophy game. The Rebels will then open a three-game SEC series with Vanderbilt Friday night at 7 p.m, at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field. Ole Miss will enter the weekend 5-4 in conference play, one-game behind first-place Alabama in the Western Division.
