Prior to that she was 247-121 in 12 seasons as the head coach at Florida. While at UF, Ross led the Lady Gators to nine NCAA Tournament appearances and one WNIT appearance. Ross, a 1982 Ole Miss grad, became the fourth women's basketball player ever to be inducted into the University of Mississippi Athletic Hall of Fame when she was honored on Sept. 1, 2001. Ross was named to the inaugural SEC All-Tournament team in 1980 and still holds the Ole Miss school record for steals in a career (333), season (135 in 1980) and game (11 vs. Southeastern Louisiana in 1980).
