Rebels In No. 13 Spot At Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Ole Miss men's golf team held down a tie for the No. 13 spot at the Seminole Intercollegiate after the first round of play with a score of 300. The second round of play, which was postponed due to darkness, will be completed on Tuesday.
The tournament is being played at the Golden Eagle Country Club, a par-72, 6,847-yard course.
Junior Lucas Boyd led the way for the Rebels after the first round with a 1-over-par score of 73 to take a tie for the No. 26 spot in the overall standings.
Junior Jordan Dempsey finished second on the team after the first round, tying for the No. 37 spot in the standings with a score of 75. Freshman Jonathan Lenz also finished tied for the No. 37 spot, as he fired a 75 in the first round as well.
Pope Spruiell, a junior on the squad, fired a score of 77 in the first round to tie for the No. 58 spot in the standings, while sophomore Jarrod Gardner rounded out the scoring for the Rebels with a 79. Gardner finished the day tied for the No. 71 spot overall.
The second round will be completed on Tuesday with the final round to be played immediately following the conclusion of the second round.
