No. 25 Rebels Cruise Past Black Bears, 72-52

CORAL GABLES, Florida (Ticker) -- Armintie Price scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as No. 25 Mississippi coasted to a 72-52 victory over Maine in the first round of the Hurricane Holiday Classic.
The Lady Rebels (10-2) used a dominant defensive performance in the opening half to advance to Thursday's championship game against Miami.
The Black Bears (2-6) shot just 16 percent (4-of-25) from the floor in the opening 20 minutes as Ole Miss raced to a 42-20 halftime lead.
Price was 9-of-14 from the field and had five of the Lady Rebels' 17 steals. Ashley Johnson chipped in 10 points and three steals as Ole Miss forced 22 turnovers to rebound from a loss at Louisiana Tech on December 20.
Abby Schrader paced Maine with 12 points and 12 boards and Ashley Underwood added 11 points on 3-of-15 shooting. Leading scorer Bracey Barker was limited to six points and had four turnovers in 31 minutes in the Black Bears' sixth straight loss.
Miami (9-2) advanced to the title game with a 104-65 win over North Carolina A&T behind 30 points from senior All-America candidate Tamara James. Maine and NCAT will face-off in the consolation game at 5 p.m. (EST).
