Lady Rebels travel to LSU Sunday

OXFORD, Miss. - The Lady Rebels (12-9, 2-6) are looking for their third win over a ranked this season when they travel to #3/4 LSU (19-1, 7-0) on Sunday. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m., in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Ole Miss and LSU are both led by graduates of their respective schools as Carol Ross (Ole Miss, 1982) and Pokey Chatman (LSU, 1991) lead their teams from the sideline.
Ole Miss is led on the season by junior guard Armintie Price with 16.7 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. Price is one of two players in the SEC averaging a double-double on the season, along with sophomore center Sylvia Fowles of LSU. Both players posted 20-20 plus performances in games played last week.
After opening the season with three-straight games in double figures, sophomore forward Danetra Forrest has collected five double-figure outings in Southeastern Conference play. Forrest notched career highs in both points (19) and rebounds (14) against Florida. She controlled 11 offensive rebounds versus the Gators.
Sophomore guard Tasi Worsham got her sixth career start versus Tennessee on Thursday. She scored a career-high 14 points in a career-best 32 minutes versus Kentucky. Worsham also added two rebounds, two assists and two steals against the Wildcats.
Sophomore forward Carla Bartee has been Ole Miss' top player off the bench with 8.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per outing, although she has started three games on the season. Bartee led Ole Miss in scoring against Florida and Tennessee. She made 7-of-16 from beyond the arc against the Gators and Lady Vols.
Under the direction of third-year head coach Carol Ross, the Lady Rebels are 48-34. Ross, who played at Ole Miss from 1979-82, earned SEC Co-Coach of the Year honors in 2004 after guiding Ole Miss back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in eight seasons. Ross' Lady Rebels returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2004-05, falling to George Washington in the first round of play.
LSU enters Sunday's game with a 19-1 overall mark and a 7-0 record during SEC play. The Lady Tigers lone loss on the season came at the hands of #4/3 Connecticut on the road.
Senior Seimone Augustus leads LSU in scoring with 20.8 points per game,which ranks second in the SEC. Fowles is second on the team with 16.8 points per game and leads the conference in rebounding at 11.4 per outing.
Sophomore Erica White runs the point for the Lady Tigers and leads the team in assists with 96 on the season, while Fowles is the leader in steals with 43.
The Lady Tigers out-rebound their opponents by 10 and outscore them by 26.9 on the season.
LSU head coach Pokey Chatman is 53-4 in her second season at LSU. Her overall coaching mark is the same.
