Marino Cards A 70 To Keep Rebels In Seventh Place

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Sophomore David Marino turned in a 2-under-par 70 in the second round of action at the Seminole Intercollegiate on Monday to keep Ole Miss in seventh place. Marino moved up in the individual standings from a 10th place tie to sole possession of eighth place.
East Tennessee State shot a 278 to remain in first place. Coastal Carolina turned in a 279 to leap from fourth to second in the team standings, while North Carolina State posted a 283 to finish the day in third place. Ole Miss is 21 strokes out of first place with its two-round total of 292-289--581
Sophomore Jamie Howarth also shot a 70 in the second round to leap into a tie for 26th place. Howarth shot a 76 in the first round. Junior Kyle Ellis remained steady turning in a 73 for the second-straight day. Ellis is tied with Howarth for 26th place.
Freshmen Larry Blatt and Will Roebuck round out the scoring for Ole Miss after day two. Blatt shot a 76 and is tied for 35th place, while Roebuck carded an 80 and is in a tie for 61st place.
Dustin Johnson of Coastal Carolina fired a 67 to keep the individual lead. Johnson turned in a 66 on Sunday for a two-day total of 133.
The tournament will resume on Tuesday with the third and final round of play in the Seminole Intercollegiate.
