CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Ole Miss senior associate athletics director Langston Rogers was inducted into the Delta State University Alumni Hall of Fame Friday at the annual DSU Alumni Service Awards Luncheon.
Rogers is in his 28th year with Ole Miss, having joined the Rebel athletics staff in 1981, as sports information director. In 1984, he was named the assistant athletic director for sports information, and has since been promoted to senior associate A.D. for media relations.
Prior to joining Ole Miss, Rogers served 17 years as the sports information director at Delta State. Rogers earned both the B.S.E. and M.Ed. degrees from Delta State, where he was a member of the baseball team, playing for Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Dave "Boo" Ferriss.
Induction into the Delta State University Alumni Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the DSU Alumni Association. Established in 2007, the Alumni Hall of Fame is extended to alumni and friends who have achieved professional distinction and made significant community service contributions at the local, national and/or international level and who have thus brought honor and distinction to Delta State University.
