OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss women's basketball head coach Renee Ladner announced Wednesday that Breanna Lewis has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Rebels next season.

A 5-foot-8 guard by way of Greenville-Weston High School under head coach Curtis Stovall, Lewis is a two-time Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen selection and was named to the Clarion-Ledger's All-State team as a junior after averaging 23.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game and helping lead the Honey Bees to the Class 5A North State Tournament.

One of her many highlights from last season came when she scored 53 points against Indianola Gentry High School to help snap the Lady Rams' MHSAA-record winning streak at 83.

She was also selected as the Best Offensive Player in the Mississippi North-South All-star game last July.

"We are very excited to have Breanna Lewis join our program and our other incoming freshman," Ladner said. "She is an explosive scorer who can get to the rim and shoot the three, and she is going to be a tremendous asset to our program."

Lewis is currently averaging 27 points per game and has lead the Honey Bees to an early 3-0 record this season.

Lewis is the seventh high school senior to sign with the Rebels this season, joining Pasonna Hope, Kenyotta Jenkins, Valencia McFarland, Shae Nelson, Ja'Monica Orton and Jasmine Trotter. In addition, Lewis is the third Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen to ink with the Rebels as both Jenkins and McFarland were also selected to the team.
